Embedded Software Developer
GUSS Automation’s autonomous sprayers have brought advanced technology and farming together to change the direction of the agriculture industry. With the recent joint venture with John Deere, GUSS Automation is looking for a skilled candidate to join our team.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Collaborating with team and other departments to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
- Designing and developing new software programs and systems for GUSS.
- Testing and deploying programs and applications.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software.
- Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance.
- Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software.
- Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects.
Requirements:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree
- Experience with MCU/Embedded System Programming (C/C++)
- Experience writing safety-critical applications with real time control needs
- CANBUS/J1939 working knowledge
- Basic understanding of control systems
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with mobile robots
- 2+ year prior experience
